What is a bare metal cloud?
A bare metal cloud provides dedicated physical servers on demand, combining the power of raw hardware with cloud-like provisioning and management. Unlike virtual machines, bare metal servers give you full access to the underlying hardware with no hypervisor overhead.
What is provided in terms of bandwidth and egress?
Each bare metal server comes with generous public egress allotments and fair 95th percentile pricing above the set limits. Private networking at up to 20Gbps is included at no additional cost. You can burst up to 40Gbps on egress.
How long until my servers are ready? How does scheduled delivery work?
If you need dedicated servers within 72 hours, they can typically be delivered from our on-hand stock. For larger orders, our team will work with you on a delivery schedule from our inbound supply chain.
Do I get access to the BIOS or other hardware-level access?
Yes. All bare metal servers include IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) access, which allows you to power on/off, restart remotely, access the console as if in front of the server, make BIOS changes, and install custom operating systems.
Do you have any limitations on content or workloads?
We support a wide range of enterprise workloads including virtualization, big data, streaming, HPC, and more. Our servers are designed for high-performance applications with no artificial resource restrictions.
What is OpenMetal Central?
